Meet Dr. Bennett Turnbow
Dr. Bennett L. Turnbow, DDS is a native of Warrensburg, Missouri. He did his undergraduate studies at Central Missouri State College where he won a pole-vaulting championship. An exceptional student, Dr. Turnbow had the rare privilege of being accepted to the UMKC School of Dentistry without first obtaining a Bachelor degree, and was one of the youngest dentists in his class. He graduated from University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1977 and has been practicing dentistry in Warrensburg ever since.
Dr. Turnbow loves the challenge of improving patients oral health and longevity using the latest up-to-date techniques that are easier, quicker and more enjoyable than old-style dentistry. His goal is to provide dental service that is even better and faster than patients expect. He is an expert in helping patients understand what is happening in their mouths and loves giving them easy-to-understand techniques that help them dramatically improve their overall health.
Dr, Turnbow is skilled in all aspects of dentistry with a special emphasis on Cosmetic Dentistry. He is certified in soft and hard soft tissue laser techniques, which allow most soft tissue surgeries with virtually no bleeding or sutures and very little or no pain afterwards. He is trained and certified to deliver cutting-edge CEREC crowns and onlays in one visit, which eliminates the need for a second appointments and second anesthetic treatment. He has also been trained and certified in the placement of Lumineers, the “no tooth preparation” veneer. This breakthrough allows smile makeovers without tooth preparation and without local anesthetic. He also offers Invisalign, the “invisible” teeth aligners for orthodontic treatment that replace the bulky and painful braces. They can be quickly removed for eating and cleaning the teeth and then immediately replaced.
He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Missouri Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society.
He has three children: Drew age 24, Morgan age 22, and Bendrick age 7. His interests include gardening, playing the guitar, reading and aviation.
